With two decades of experience in the semiconductor industry and financial management, Sameer Ladiwala becomes the Chief Accounting Officer of Alphawave Semi.
On Monday, semiconductor company Alphawave Semi announced the appointment of Sameer Ladiwala as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer (CAO). He will be based at the firm’s design headquarters in San Jose, CA, situated in Silicon Valley.
Ladiwala brings over 25 years of financial management experience, with more than a decade spent in public semiconductor IP and chip companies. His previous roles include CAO positions at Luminar Technologies, Arm, and Cypress Semiconductor and Assistant Corporate Controller at Intersil. He has also worked with semiconductor and technology companies during his 12 years at PwC.
At these firms, he was involved in due diligence, negotiation, and integration of merger and acquisition (M&A) deals ranging from $5 million to $10 billion and contributed to debt funding efforts exceeding $2 billion.
Furthermore, he has extensive experience in accounting for intricate transactions, such as long-term subscription and IP licensing agreements, with a combined value exceeding $1 billion.
Rahul Mathur, CFO at Alphawave Semi, remarked in the official press release that Sameer Ladiwala brings a distinctive blend of experience from IP-focused and semiconductor product companies, a skill set uncommon for a CAO.
He noted that Ladiwala has a proven record of executing strategic initiatives aligned with the company’s future growth plans. Mathur expressed that the entire management team and Board of Directors believe that the appointment will significantly bolster the finance organisation and the company as a whole.
