ELCINA, the Electronic Industries Association of India, has made significant appointments to its executive committee, reflecting changes in the roles and responsibilities of existing committee members.
Atul B Lall, the Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Dixon Technologies, has been appointed as the President of ELCINA’s executive committee. Lall, who previously served as the Vice President of ELCINA, will now pass on his responsibilities to Richard Puthota, Senior Director of Business Development at MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, who will take over as the new Vice President. Assisting Lall in effectively managing his duties will be the newly appointed Senior Vice President, Sasikumar Gendham, Managing Director of Salcomp Manufacturing India Pvt Ltd.
Puthota will relinquish his role as the former Treasurer, which will be taken over by Varun Manwani, Director and CEO of Sahasra Group. Manwani, previously the Regional Co-Chairman for the North region, will now assume the position of Treasurer.
Rajiv Venkatraman, the former Chairman of the South region, will transition into the role of Secretary. This change will see the Managing Director of PEC Manufacturing replacing Anuraag Dhoot, the Managing Director of Epitome Components, as the new Secretary.
During the 48th ELCINA Award ceremony, the industry body made a noteworthy announcement, urging the government to introduce a production-linked incentive scheme for the non-semiconductor or computer chips sector. This sector relies heavily on imports and requires government support to boost domestic production.
