Former CEO of Swedish silicon chip supplier Sivers Semiconductors, Anders Storm, joins Dirac Research as the new CEO, extending his industry knowledge in the digital audio sector.
Anders Storm, the former CEO of Stockholm-based Sivers Semiconductors, is set to join as the new Chief Executive Officer of Swedish digital audio company Dirac Research. Storm, who stepped down from his previous position in March.
Dirac specialises in software that improves sound quality across various audio systems. The company partners with major semiconductor manufacturers like NXP, Analog Devices, and BES to integrate its digital audio algorithms into chips.
Storm, who served nine years at Sivers and has three decades of experience in the field, is expected to lead Dirac through its ongoing evolution at the intersection of audio processing and semiconductor technology.
According to Dirac Chairman Johan Sedihn, Storm’s extensive background in semiconductors and hardware-software integration will help the company to capitalise on new market opportunities and technologies, as its sales increased by 52% in FY24.
He noted that automation and a partnership with Dolby have been instrumental in this growth, which may further accelerate under the new CEO’s leadership.
Storm has previously served on the boards of Sivers Photonics and EpinovaTech and holds a master’s in computer science and engineering from Lund University. Recently, Sivers announced plans to spin off its photonics business into a SPAC investment vehicle.
