15 March 2013 was a memorable day for the Indian electronics industry. Leading brands and organisations were present at the EFY Readers’ Choice Awards organised at Le Meridian, Bengaluru to praise and applaud the people and companies who have made significant contributions to the growth of the electronics industry in India. With such an event, Electronics For You aims to felicitate the leading brands in the Indian electronics industry who have acted as catalysts in furthering the growth of the Indian electronics industry.
PCB Power, one of the leading brands in the world of electronics, bagged EFY Readers’ Choice Award 2012 for the category of Printed Circuit Boards. The other contenders in the category included Automated Circuits & Systems, Shogini and Veratroniks.
Thanking EFY for honouring the company for its efforts, Paresh Vasani, MD, PCB Power, said, “It feels great winning this award. It’s the second time in a row and is a fantastic feeling. I would like to thank God, my customers, my employees and the whole CSIL PCB Power team. This event is becoming one of the most important events in the electronics industry. This is like an Oscar for the electronics industry in India.”
EFY Awards were presented across 26 product categories to brands voted by the readers of EFY and Electronics Bazaar. The awards also featured six special categories, selected by a jury of four members.
Ever since its inception in 2004, EFY Readers’ Choice Awards, is eagerly awaited by the industry every year. The aim of EFY Awards has been to motivate, support and recognise outstanding brands, organisations and individuals who have furthered the growth story of the Indian electronics industry. The awards have evolved with time in response to the demands and suggestions received from the stakeholders of the Indian electronics ecosystem and our valuable readers.
“To keep up with the changes in the industry and the products churned out by it, the awards are reviewed every year and changed as per requirement. This year the EFY Awards Jury decided upon three new awards which are the Best Initiative by a Government Organisation, Certificate of Excellence 2012 for Emerging Organisation of the Year, and ‘Certificate of Excellence 2012 for Government Organisation of the Year’,” says Ramesh Chopra, founder and vice chairman, EFY Group.
