Tuesday, October 14, 2014: Madhya Pradesh Electronics Development Corporation is establishing a National Informatics Centre at Information Technology Park and electronic manufacturing clusters (EMC) in Badwai on over 212 acres of land.
Union Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation stone for the project last Monday.
The project is expected to attract the investment of Rs. 1,700 million and would generate the employment for over 17,000 people in the state. It will also promote manufacturing of electronic products in the country and thereby would help in achieving the net-zero imports target.
Another Information Technology Park and EMC would be established in Jabalpur district across the land of 62 acres in Purva village and would involve the investment of approx Rs 950 million.
