Aiming to reduce dependence on imports, Optiemus partners with Tejas Networks to manufacture telecom equipment products.
On Tuesday, Optiemus Electronics entered the telecom equipment manufacturing sector by partnering with Tejas Networks to expand the production of various telecom products at its Noida facility.
Through this partnership, Optiemus aims to produce a range of telecom equipment, including 4G baseband units, remote radio heads, and broadband switches and routers.
The move aligns with the government’s vision for an Atmanirbhar Bharat, supporting India’s broader goals of reducing reliance on imported telecom equipment.
With telecom production surpassing Rs 50,000 crore and exports reaching Rs 10,500 crore under the PLI scheme, this partnership will boost India’s telecom manufacturing capabilities.
A Gururaj, Managing Director of Optiemus Electronics, emphasized the importance of this venture in advancing India’s telecom industry and supporting the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
V Sembian, Chief Supply Chain Officer of Tejas Networks, highlighted that this collaboration will further boost domestic production and strengthen the Indian telecom ecosystem.
