Oppo has tied-up with the Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) to promote collaborative research on advanced and emerging technologies. The collaboration will see development for multiple projects over two years. The development will be of new technologies in areas like camera and image processing, battery, networks (5G), system performance and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Sumohana S. Channappayya, dean – research and development, IIT Hyderabad said that the institute is happy to collaborate with OPPO India through the expertise of researchers, to support and strengthen the R&D. It will also help in bringing technological breakthroughs for the Indian market. He added that the collaboration with Oppo will help in the development of indigenous solutions. These solutions will help to cater to the dynamic needs of the Indian consumers.
