High performance ARM-based platform integrates a 4-wire resistive touchscreen.
AndersDX has announced immediate availability of ‘DX2′, its latest embedded display platform which can be dropped into new or existing device designs to both upgrade the interface and enhance product functionality.
Comprising high-performance resistive touchscreen display options, pre-integrated with a powerful OMAP DM3730-based computer with a host of I/O and comms, running either Linux or Windows Compact 7, DX2 is available in both open-frame or non-assembled versions to ease mechanical integration.
Device designers can choose from either a 5.7-inch VGA or 7-inch WVGA industrial grade TFT option, both with integrated 4-wire resistive touchscreen. Specially designed for rigorous industrial, HMI and medical use, DX2 embedded displays offer high touchscreen durability, high transparency, and overall excellent optical performance.
At the heart of the DX2 is a powerful, feature-rich, fanless SBC, based on the TI DM3730 processor. With two CPU cores in a single package – an advanced Cortex-A8 ARM 1Ghz processor for OS and application code, and a TMS32006x DSP processor for dedicated video processing, DX2 supports 2D/3D graphics with OpenGL, and can handle even the most graphic-intensive applications. DX2 further enhances and enables product functionality through multiple interfaces and communication port options, including UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, SD-CARD, WiFi and Bluetooth.
