The S1 Z operates with two detachable 1.5kWh battery packs and features 14-inch wheels.
Ola Electric has recently expanded its lineup of electric scooters by introducing the S1 Z alongside a higher-end variant, the S1 Z+. The standard S1 Z is priced at Rs 59,999, while the S1 Z+ carries a price tag of Rs 64,999.
The S1 Z is equipped with dual 1.5kWh battery packs, a notable feature of which is the scooter’s ability to operate with just one of these packs. When running on a single battery, the S1 Z achieves a certified range of 75 kilometres, which doubles to 146 kilometres with both batteries in use.
This model features a hub-mounted motor capable of delivering a peak power of 3kW. Ola claims a top speed of 70 kilometres per hour for the S1 Z, with the ability to accelerate from 0 to 40 kilometres per hour in just 4.7 seconds. Another distinctive aspect of the S1 Z is its 14-inch wheels—a size uncommon among electric scooters, shared only with the River Indie in the Indian market.
While Ola has not yet released detailed technical specifications concerning dimensions, weight, or charging times, the S1 Z sports a new, boxier design language. The Z+ variant enhances its appeal with additional accessories such as a luggage rack at both the front and rear, a small visor, and a sidestep for the pillion rider. Both models feature an LCD display that supports Bluetooth connectivity with smartphones.
With its competitive price range, the S1 Z positions itself as one of the most affordable two-wheeled options in India, regardless of fuel type. Ola has announced that deliveries for the S1 Z are expected to commence by May 2025. Further updates on the scooter’s specifications and features will be provided as they become available.
