myTVS, an aftermarket service provider, now offers a comprehensive suite of services through its new MaaS platform. This includes leasing, real-time fleet management, and maintenance, all consolidated under one umbrella for the entire electric vehicle fleet.
The TVS Mobility Group-owned automotive aftermarket service provider, myTVS, announced the launch of a new mobility-as-a-service platform specifically designed for electric vehicle fleet operators. The company is optimistic about adding 10,000 electric two-wheelers to this platform by the end of March.
This innovative platform offers a comprehensive suite of services, including leasing, real-time fleet management, and servicing, all integrated under a single umbrella for electric vehicle fleets. Initially, the platform is rolling out with 250 electric two-wheelers and 50 electric light commercial vehicles.
G Srinivasa Raghavan, Managing Director of myTVS, expressed the urgency of integrating at least 10,000 electric two-wheelers by March at the platform’s launch. The group company, TVS Vehicle Mobility, is set to invest between 100 and 150 crore rupees in acquiring these 10,000 electric two-wheelers, which myTVS will then lease to electric fleet operators through the newly established platform.
With a presence in Chennai, myTVS has provided aftermarket services to over a million customers throughout India, supported by 1,000 outlets across 400 towns. The company aims to increase this number to 2,500 outlets, reaching 800 towns within the next two years.
Raghavan highlighted that the new electric vehicle platform is a strategic move to diversify the company’s business, transitioning from services for internal combustion engine vehicles to electric vehicles. He pointed out the significant growth potential within the two-wheeler segment, driven by the escalating adoption of electric vehicles.
He also mentioned the critical importance of this platform for EV fleet operators who service major clients like Zomato, Swiggy, and various FMCG companies, emphasizing the need for operational efficiency and sustainability. According to Raghavan, these operators require on-demand services.
Besides its operations in India, myTVS also serves the European market and plans to pilot the new mobility-as-a-service platform in select countries across Asia and Europe. This global rollout will be conducted in collaboration with local aftermarket service providers.
