With the initiative of CSC e-Governance Services India Limited (CSC-SPV) which is under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Department of Information Technology, Government of Manipur, Muolhoih village, Kangvai Block was declared a cashless village.
The cashless transaction was witnessed by N Deben, Additional Director, Department of Information Technology, Government of Manipur, Wangkhem Dillip Singh, State Head CSC-SPV Manipur, Thokchom Chanu Chingkhainganbi, state level programme manager, Peter G Bieklien, District Manager, DeGS, Churachandpur and Paukhosiem Gangte, chief of Muolhoih.
Peter G Bieklien, Michael Paul Haokip, district manager, DeGD, Churachandpur and Aurelieus Zoramlien, VBE Zenhang Lamka spent several days in the village promoting the uses of digital methods of payment by organising workshops and visiting every households.
Muolhoih village has 33 households. The total population is just 150 which comprises of 90 men and 60 women.
The village has 50 bank account holders, 40 Rupay and debit card holders, 86 Aadhar Card holders, 41 smart phone users, 31 basic phone users, 44 MGNREGS job card holders and 1 merchant.
