Mouser Electronics has entered into a global distribution agreement with Fractus Antennas to distribute Virtual Antenna (mXTEND) and Xtend devices for cellular, wireless, IoT applications.
Fractus Antennas’ mXTEND chip antenna boosters are based on Virtual Antenna technology, owned by Fractus Antennas. It has been designed to replace conventional antenna solutions for off-the-shelf, standardised, and miniature antenna booster components.
GPS, 3G, 4G, 5G, NB-IoT, LoRa, Wi-Fi
The mXTEND solution is available in different shapes, sizes, and functions and provide GPS, 3G, 4G, 5G, NB-IoT, LoRa, Wi-Fi, and Sigfox performance in wireless device applications. These include IoT, smartphones, smart watches, sport navigators, wearables, tablets, digital cameras, and handsets. Mouser will also stock mXTEND evaluation board for the development of the mXTEND antenna solutions like RUN mXTEND or TRIO mXTEND.
Fractus Antennas’ Micro Reach Xtend and Slim Reach Xtend devices are examples of small chip antennas for use in devices that operate in the 2.4 GHz ISM band. The Micro Reach Xtend antenna combines small size and reduced clearance area of 7.0 mm × 3.0 mm × 0.9 mm. It takes advantage of the space-filling properties and is ideal for highly scattered indoor environments and small consumer electronics devices.
Small headset devices
The Slim Reach Xtend rectangular chip antenna of 4.1 mm Ă— 2.0 mm Ă— 1.0 mm is suitable for small headset devices with Bluetooth and other 2.4 GHz wireless standards. The company said that its broad bandwidth ensures high-quality signal reception and transmission across wireless devices regardless of how a user positions the devices.
