Tenstorrent has selected Moschip due to their tape out expertise in design services.
India’s MosChip Technologies has announced partnership with computing company Tenstorrent and to work on the design of Tenstorrent’s advanced RISC-V solutions. The collaboration will focus on physical design, DFT (design for testing), verification, and RTL (register transistor level) design services.
The partnership aims to leverage MosChip’s expertise to boost Tenstorrent’s RISC-V core development and deliver better AI hardware and solutions. Tenstorrent has selected Moschip due to their tape out expertise in design services, with more than 200 multi-million gate ASICs under their belt. David Bennett, CCO of Tenstorrent stated, “Partnering with MosChip enables us to design the strongest RISC-V solution we can to serve ourselves, our partners, and our customers alike.”
Tenstorrent is a computing company specialising in AI, with offices in Canada, the U.S., and globally. The company provides customised, high-performance AI and RISC-V chiplets. MosChip CEO, Srinivasa Kakumanu said. “In testing simulations done thus far, we’ve determined that Tenstorrent’s RISC-V core is one of the highest performing CPUs we’ve seen. We’re extremely excited to work with Tenstorrent on continuing to deliver groundbreaking AI hardware and solutions”.
