Friday, October 10, 2014: Kalraj Mishra, the union minister for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) noted that 20,000 MSME units were established in Madhya Pradesh after the last Global Investors Summit (GIS) and this year they look up to almost double the number of MSME units set up while addressing the press on the third day of the event in Indore on Wednesday.
He further said that these units could provide employment to thousands of jobless people, not only in Madhya Pradesh but in the entire country. While talking about the new MSME policy he pointed out towards the how much effective transparency would be there in the new policy.
As per the new policy, the MSME units will be given timely clearance and everything would be processed via website to ensure effective working. Also, all the mentioned rules have now been simplified and only self-certification would be required for registration. Under the new policy, the government will have to buy mandate 20 per cent units from MSMEs which will include 4 per cent from units run by women, SCs and STs.
