- The company claims it to be a game-changer for fundraising and volunteer engagement
- The company also brings a limited private preview for nonprofits to experience the new AI-powered model
With the aim to transform the nonprofit industry and how fundraisers engage with donors, manage campaigns and optimize operations, Microsoft Corp. recently introduced new AI solutions and improvements to Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit. Moreover, for nonprofits to experience a new AI-powered fundraising propensity model, the company announced a limited private preview. In a press statement, it said that within the preview, participating nonprofits will be able to test new AI tools that give fundraisers the power to do predictive forecasting of fundraising goals with data modelling and identify donors most likely to donate to a campaign, cause or major gift.
The company believes that currently, nonprofits are challenged to make budgets go further and do more with fewer resources. Although data is helpful, access and utilization of data by these organisations remain an issue. Quoting a study from the National Council of Nonprofits, the official note said that only 18% of nonprofits reported having all the data they need and using it in nearly every decision they make.
Justin Spelhaug, Vice President and Global Head, Tech for Social Impact at Microsoft believes that AI can and will be a game-changer for nonprofits and fundraisers. “With these new AI solutions, we aim to empower nonprofits and fundraisers to achieve more and to create a more positive and rewarding experience for donors.”
As per Microsoft, this cloud is customised for the nonprofit sector and designed to reduce the time nonprofit groups spend managing overhead and delivering automation and efficiency on common and critical workflows.
The press release pointed out that new tools such as a fundraising dashboard, Dynamics 365 Marketing, Microsoft Viva Sales AI Copilot and Microsoft Teams Premium have been included in this solution.
The company has also integrated AI-based capabilities of Teams Premium into Fundraising and Engagement to help nonprofits improve productivity and make sure donors, constituents and staff get the greatest benefit from meetings.
