Leading smartphones maker, Micromax has entered the smart TV market by launching its first Google-certified Android TVs in India. The electronics manufacturer claims that the smart TVs provide stunning picture quality. The two new smart TVs are priced at Rs 51,990 and Rs. 61,990.
Android TV segment
Rohan Agarwal, Director, Micromax Informatics, views that Micromax has officially entered the new Android TV segment with the two Google-certified TVs. The smart TVs are equipped with Google’s Play Store to offer smart android support for apps, games, movies and music on a bigger screen. The aim is to provide a bigger and better screen with additional facilities. Micromax is eyeing to expand its market reach through its new launches and expects to keep up in the TV market in India.
Micromax smart TVs features
The new smart panel has a 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) resolution and HDR 10 support. They are powered by a quad-core A53 processor coupled with 2.5GB of RAM and 16GB flash storage. Micromax has powered its powerful sound technology for its sound output by packing TVs with two 12W speakers that are Dolby and DTS certified.
The two new TVs with sizes of 49 and 55 inches run on Android Oreo and has a built-in Chromecast feature that allows accessing the smartphone screen wirelessly. It also has Google assistant supporting voice search and wireless smartphone control with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Micromax has ramped up its activities with its series of new launches amidst the festive sales in India. It had recently introduced two budget smartphones priced at Rs. 5,899 and Rs. 4,249 which have made their debut in the stores. The smart TVs will be available in stores this month.
