This collaboration aims to enhance the EV infrastructure at strategic sites, including highways, urban areas, and MG dealerships across Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra.
MG Motor India recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zeon, aiming to significantly enhance the existing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This strategic partnership is set to fortify the EV ecosystem at crucial spots, encompassing highways, urban centres, and MG dealerships across a range of locations, including Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, among others.
Under this alliance, MG customers will benefit from exclusive offers to charge their vehicles at Zeon kiosks. The partner charging stations will be seamlessly integrated into the MyMG App, making them easily discoverable and visible on the iSmart infotainment screens in MG vehicles. Zeon’s extensive network of over 300 AC and DC chargers at key sites will complement MG’s existing network, which currently boasts around 12,000 chargers.
Gaurav Gupta, the Deputy Managing Director at MG Motor India, commented on the partnership, emphasizing its alignment with MG’s commitment to sustainable mobility and enhancing the electric vehicle ownership experience. He noted that this strategic alliance with Zeon Electric reflects their dedication to providing a smooth and environmentally friendly driving experience for their customers.
Kartikeyan Palanisamy, the Founder of Zeon, also shared his insights on this collaboration. He highlighted that the partnership reflects a shared vision for a more sustainable future in the EV sector. He stressed that together, they are dedicated to building a state-of-the-art charging infrastructure, focusing on convenience and reliability for EV users, thereby promoting the adoption of electric vehicles.
