In order to promote emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister for Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) has launched MeitY Startup Hub (MSH), a platform to connect the startup ecosystem.
About the platform
MSH will act as national coordination, facilitation and monitoring centre that will integrate all the incubation centres, start-ups and innovation-related activities of MeitY, stated the MSH website.
It will work like a social media platform for all the stakeholders of the ecosystem, including incubators, accelerators, mentors, angel funds, and venture capitalists. It aims to promote technology innovation, startups, and the creation of Intellectual Properties.
STPI signed 4 MoUs
Software technology parks of India (STPI) also signed four Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with Intel India Pvt limited, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, Pontaq and IBM. STPI is an Autonomous Society set up by MeitY in 1991, with the objective of encouraging, promoting and boosting the Software Exports from India.
The MoUs will help in knowledge exchange and enhancing cooperation between technological institutions, venture capitalists, industries, and government agencies.
