Mahindra XUV400 updated with a new 10.25-inch floating touchscreen display.
Mahindra has introduced the new XUV400 Pro range, priced from Rs 15.49 lakh to Rs 17.49 lakh for the top-end EL Pro model. These introductory prices are valid for deliveries up to May 31, 2024. Customers can book the XUV400 Pro for Rs 21,000, with deliveries commencing on February 1.
Key highlights include dashboard enhancements and added features, although there are no significant mechanical or styling changes. The Pro range will be available alongside existing models until stock depletion. A new Nebula Blue colour option has been added for the XUV400.
The main upgrade is the 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, leading to a comprehensive redesign of the dashboard. The AC vents have been repositioned below the screen, and the HVAC controls now feature two rotary dials. The black interior has been replaced with a black-and-beige theme, and the steering wheel design is new, though the instrument binnacle remains unchanged with a new 10.25-inch digital screen.
The XUV400 Pro boasts improved functionality with the Adrenox software, similar to the XUV700. Additional features include dual-zone climate control with memory, a wireless phone charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Alexa connectivity, rear USB ports, and rear AC vents.
These updates bring the XUV400 closer to the Tata Nexon EV, although the latter still leads in features such as ventilated seats, a powered tailgate, and larger infotainment screens.
Mechanically, the XUV400 Pro remains the same. Both the EC Pro and EL Pro variants come with a 34.5kWh battery, with the EL Pro also offering a 39.4kWh option. The EC Pro includes a 3.3kW AC charger, while the EL Pro has a 7.2kW AC charger for both battery types. The estimated ranges are 375km and 456km, respectively.
The XUV400 Pro models feature a front-mounted electric motor delivering 150hp and 310Nm of torque. They retain disc brakes on all wheels, regenerative braking, and three driving modes.
