Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML), a key subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, solidifies its leadership in India’s electric three-wheeler sector, marking a pivotal achievement in the fiscal year 2024. According to data from the Vahan portal, MLMML has risen to become India’s premier electric three-wheeler manufacturer, boasting sales of over 140,000 electric vehicles to date. In the competitive landscape of India’s electric three-wheeler market, MLMML boasts a significant 9.3% market share, further establishing its dominance with a substantial 55.1% share in the L5 EV category for the year-to-date in FY24.
Over a period of just eight months, MLMML has reported extraordinary expansion, with sales reaching 40,000 electric vehicles. This surge in growth is attributed to the successful introduction of two innovative products – the Treo Plus and the e-Alfa Super in both passenger and cargo variants. To address the growing demand for electric three-wheelers, MLMML has significantly increased its production capabilities, tripling its capacity across manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru, Haridwar, and Zaheerabad.
The diverse portfolio of MLMML’s three-wheeler electric vehicles, including models like the Treo, Treo Plus, Treo Zor, Treo Yaari, Zor Grand, e-Alfa Super, and e-Alfa Cargo, serves a wide range of transportation needs.
Suman Mishra, the Managing Director and CEO of MLMML commented on the company’s achievements, noting that the fiscal year 2024 has served as a clear indicator of their commitment to prioritizing customers and advancing their goal of electrifying last-mile transportation. He pointed out that selling 40,000 electric three-wheelers within a mere eight months illustrates the role of electric vehicles in creating inclusive income opportunities for drivers.
