Mahindra Electric and Three Wheels United’s MoU includes the automaker’s NEMO that is to be used as the preferred mobility solution
Mahindra Electric has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Three Wheels United TWU), a Dutch-based start-up to roll out 2,000 Mahindra Treo, the newly launched electric three-wheelers. Mahindra has been making huge investments in enhancing its electric vehicles segment. With this MoU, the automaker aims to boost the adoption of Treo.
Expressing his delight over the partnership, Mahesh Babu, CEO Mahindra Electric said that TWU would support EV drivers to opt for electric mobility and contribute towards the environment-friendly mode.
Mahindra NEMO
TWU will be using Mahindra’s Next Generation Mobility Solution (NEMO) as its preferred mobility solution platform. It will identify EC drivers and assist them with required financial support.
The MoU also includes the use of Mahindra’s NEMO (Next Generation Mobility Solution) as the preferred mobility solution platform to be used by the TWU. Treo is the first range of vehicles to offer connected vehicle features as an optional value addition to the customer.
Mahindra Treo
The automaker recently launched its three-wheeler electric rickshaw, Mahindra Treo with a price range starting from Rs. 1.36 lakh. Treo provides real-time battery data on its digital dashboard. The vehicles offer advanced electric last-mile mobility solutions that are aimed at metros.
The MoU was signed during the Auto Day 2018 celebrations organised by TWU in Bengaluru. The event is a meeting point of about 5,000 auto drivers.
