This contract involves supplying a bespoke primary rear eDrive system designed for a premium niche vehicle platform the company offers. This development underscores Magna’s dedication to meeting the automotive industry’s immediate and future needs as it undergoes a transformative shift towards electrification.
This system, which is a specialized version of Magna’s 800V eDS Duo, is distinguished by its remarkable power and performance capabilities, unmatched by most vehicles currently available. With an impressive output of 726 kW and 8,000 Nm of torque, the system uniquely combines dual e-motors, inverters, and gearboxes into one comprehensive package, setting a new standard in the industry.
