Green energy solutions provider Magenta Power has introduced India’s first portable electric vehicle charging grid. The company’s new ChargingGrid Series is the country’s first fully integrated, unmanned, payment-enabled open network of smart charging solutions.
The portable grid is available in a number of configurations that makes it compatible across and four and two-wheeled electric vehicles, both old and new. The ChargeGrid series is available in a number of versions with the ChargeGrid LITE being the most affordable at ₹ 11,799.
The ChargeGrid PRO has 2 variants PRO-3P and is priced at ₹ 32,499, while the PRO-T2 is priced at ₹ 39,499. The top-of-the-line ChargeGrid Ultra is priced at ₹ 48,699. The unit can be installed in a number of locations including offices, malls, and residential societies, according to the company.

Features and working style
The next generation ‘ChargeGrid Pro’ gets connected, with the Mobile App and Command Centre. The Mobile App provides EV owners the convenience of locating charging stations on an aerial map and also book charging slots, receive recommendations on the time of day to use and pay charges online. The Command Centre brings complete visibility to chargers, performance and integration with various platforms.
The ChargingGrid Series are waterproof and gets multiple charging options including the Type-2 connector for the new EVs. An IEC socket is standard, while the second socket can be a 16A domestic socket or a Type-2 connector. The unit also gets Bluetooth connectivity that helps to monitor the charging solutions more effectively.
The ChargingGrid series also has an LCD screen to track consumption and LEDs to indicate charging status when in use. The chargers are compatible with the current EVs on sale, while the company says that a small change will make them compatible with vehicles that are yet to be launched.
