Magenta Mobility, a prominent provider of integrated electric mobility solutions, has recently reached a notable achievement by deploying over 2,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in more than 18 cities across India. This development highlights the company’s dedication to promoting green logistics and enhancing the adoption of EVs to create a cleaner, more sustainable future in urban transportation.
In a relatively brief period, Magenta has managed to expand its fleet, which now includes over 2,000 three-wheelers and more than 250 four-wheelers. These vehicles are strategically distributed in major cities such as Gurgaon, Delhi, Manesar, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Plans are underway to include new cities like Jaipur and Lucknow.
Magenta Mobility serves a wide array of clients across various sectors including e-commerce, courier services, grocery delivery, and more, partnering with major industry names like Flipkart Grocery, Amazon UFF, D-Mart, Zomato Hyperpure, Delhivery, and DHL. This broad client base underscores Magenta’s role as a key player in the green logistics sector.
This significant rollout of EVs aligns with national goals for green mobility and aims at reducing carbon emissions. Supported by a robust infrastructure that includes over 90 charging depots and more than 1,500 chargers, Magenta is poised to lead a transformation in urban freight and logistics through sustainable practices.
Maxson Lewis, the CEO and Founder of Magenta Mobility expressed that this milestone not only cements their position as one of India’s largest electric cargo fleet operators but also demonstrates their commitment to revolutionizing urban logistics through environmentally friendly solutions. The company plans to continue scaling up, targeting 4,000 three-wheeler EVs and 1,000 four-wheeler EVs by March 2025 in a bid to further decarbonize logistics in India and drive sustainable growth in the logistics sector.
