Monday, November 18, 2013: Luminous Power Technologies is celebrating Sachin Tendulkar’s 200 tests feat and have announced that they will be donating Rs 200 each for every sale of a limited edition of their home UPS to a non-profit body supported by the Master Blaster himself. The funds will help provide solar lights to villages that are without electricity.

Tendulkar is the brand ambassador of Luminous. The press release said, “The ‘invincible’ series Home UPS was a tribute to the ‘invincible spirit’ of the Master Blaster.”
To be a part of the Spreading Happiness initiative, customers have to place their order online. The company will then be donating Rs 200 to the initiative.
“We expect enthusiastic Sachin fans to come forward and order this inverter series, which, just like Sachin, will never be seen again,” Luminous Power Technologies, MD, Manish Pant said.
Reportedly, the initiative has already been rolled out as a pilot project in Nashik in Maharashtra.
