The state government plans to set up country’s largest startup incubation centre in Lucknow, said additional chief secretary, IT and electronics, Sanjiv Saran at the Investors’ Summit on Thursday.
“The government plans to develop Lucknow as centre for all such activities since there is a need for the startup economy to grow manifold,” he said.
“The government has formulated ‘UP Start-up Policy 2017’ which will be implemented soon. The new policy has features like sustenance allowance, commercialization assistance and others, which should be availed by all startups. We have roped in top consulting firm KPMG for implementation of the startup policy,” Saran added. State minister for IT and electronics, Mohsin Raza also spoke about the government’s orientation towards business development and infrastructure enhancement for IT sector.
