For the convenience and welfare of its officers and jawans, Jammu and Kashmir Police signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s LG Electronics India Private Limited.
According to the press note, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the Additional Director General of Police, Armed, J&K L. Mohanti and Branch Manager, LG Electronics India Private Limited, Jammu, Surjit Singh Manhas on behalf of the company.
By virtue of the agreement, the electronic company will supply electronic items of daily use to J&K Police Departmental Stores on subsidised rates. The rates will be on the pattern of the subsidy being offered to the members of other forces. Besides, all consumer promotions shall be offered to the J&K Police personnel as per the promotional offers in the market, the press note read.
The company will provide all available products to J&K Police and ensure that the products are provided at the locations as desired by J&K Police and the delivery shall be prompt.
At present, Police officials of J&K were facing difficulties in the purchase of electronic appliances at subsidised rates. The signing of the present agreement would help reduce the budgetary expenditure of the police officials on electronic appliance and aim of the agreement is to provide these appliances at their respective locations on subsidised rates, the press note further read.
The warranty condition shall apply to all the products purchased by J&K Police and the manufacturing defects are to be replaced during the warranty period, the press note added.
