LG Electronics, India’s largest white goods maker, will manufacture all its premium products and entire mobile phone range in India and may set up a third plant in the country to primarily cater to the Northeast region.
The company also plans to increase exports of home appliances from India.
James Park, Senior Vice-President, Head of Home Appliances Overseas Sales and Marketing Group, LG notified that India is among the top-five markets for them and it’s one of the fastest growing markets globally. He also mentioned that they will continue to make investments and boost their brand identity and offer new technologies to Indian consumers,
The company recently started manufacturing handsets in India in partnership with Optiemus Group.
LG has also entered the water purifiers business in India, offering steel water tanks, again keeping in mind Indian needs.
