By 2030, the company aims to transition from a consumer electronics maker to a smart life solutions provider, offering advanced auto parts such as cockpit electronics, connectivity solutions, and infotainment systems. With a team of 2,500 engineers in Bengaluru, LG is exploring more collaborations in India, building on its existing partnerships with Hyundai, Kia, Renault, and Volkswagen. This strategic move not only supports the Made-in-India initiative but also aims to boost profits, with nearly half of global revenues expected to come from business-to-business products, up from the current 30%.
LG Electronics plans to introduce EV charging solutions in India, targeting the growth of India’s EV sector. The company will also launch PlayWare and MetaWare software solutions, transforming cars into high-tech living spaces as part of the LG AlphaWare suite.

PlayWare, which enhances in-vehicle infotainment with high-definition content and superior sound quality, leverages LG’s partnerships with major streaming apps, sports, and news channels. Meanwhile, MetaWare uses augmented and mixed reality technologies to provide meaningful information across various displays, including AR HUDs, clusters, and central panels. This transformation of 2D map data into dynamic 3D visuals helps drivers better understand their car’s advanced driver assistance and navigation systems, offering a more engaging and intuitive driving experience.
