LG Electronics India has roped in e-commerce giant, Snapdeal electronics business head Saif Iqbal in a bid to shape its e-commerce strategy by the end of this years, according to the reports.
Iqbal is an alumnus of Indian School of Business and IIT Roorkee, had built Snapdeal’s presence in white goods, consumer electronics and computers.
The country’s largest appliances and consumer electronics player is planning sell televisions, white goods and smart phones exclusively online.
LG is one of the last big consumer electronics brands in the country to adopt the online route.
In this regard, the company is planning to join hands with leading e-commerce players like Amazon, Snapdeal and Flipkart to launch its online exclusive models by end of this year.
