LeafyBus aims to deploy 50 luxury electric buses throughout Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab over the coming year, facilitated by a collaboration with JBM Electric Vehicles.
LeafyBus has announced its intention to roll out 50 electric buses over the next year, which will service routes in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab, and plans to extend its network into Eastern and Southern India subsequently. In support of this expansion, LeafyBus has partnered with JBM Electric Vehicles (P) Ltd. This agreement involves LeafyBus acquiring 200 electric buses from JBM, beginning with 50 in the first year and an additional 150 in the following year. These buses are tailored to meet the rising demand for better transport solutions across India.
The newly introduced electric buses by LeafyBus will feature advanced passenger safety and comfort enhancements, including CCTV surveillance, live tracking, and the assistance of a “Bus Buddy” on board. LeafyBus emphasizes that all buses will conform to stringent safety protocols, integrating Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). They also promise high standards of interior cleanliness to maximize passenger comfort.
LeafyBus aims to streamline the travel experience across all customer demographics, boasting high-speed chargers, batteries with extended range capabilities, and maintenance support throughout North India, mirroring international best practices.
