In a move to fortify its market position, Judo Bank has initiated a collaboration with Backbase. The association aims to revolutionise the digital services offered to the bank’s small and medium business banking as well as term deposit clients through Backbase’s avant-garde Engagement Banking Platform (EBP).
This alliance aligns with the Bank’s commitment to fostering a more intimate relationship between bankers and clients. Integrating EBP promises a seamless digital experience for the bank’s clientele and a platform for regular monthly updates introducing new features. The bank’s technological infrastructure is built on modern, flexible, and cloud-based principles. Its unique human-centric approach has steadfastly enhanced the relationship between bankers and customers. This strategy has propelled the bank to amass a lending portfolio exceeding $9 billion and a deposit book surpassing $6 billion, catering to over 35,000 customers.
According to Lisa Frazier, the Chief Operating Officer at Judo Bank, this partnership with Backbase is a monumental step towards realising their vision of becoming a world-class small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) bank. This venture will notably amplify its high-tech, high-touch model, offering SME entrepreneurs unprecedented control over their portfolio’s digital aspects. This digital platform, constructed in approximately a year, promises to streamline business operations cost-effectively while enhancing customer service quality.
Iman Ghodosi, the Managing Director at Backbase in Australia and New Zealand, emphasised that their EBP is designed to unburden banks from the intricate process of developing digital platforms themselves. He mentioned that this collaboration is expected to bolster Judo Bank’s innovative strides in the market, setting a new benchmark in customer service and business efficiency powered by the foundational support of Backbase’s EBP.
