Based in Gurugram, JBM Electric Vehicles, an electric bus producer in India, has displayed its Ecolife all-electric city bus and Galaxy luxury coach at Bus World 2023 in Brussels. This unveiling also signifies the company’s entry into the European Union market, offering a range of products and services designed to deliver comprehensive e-mobility ecosystem solutions.
JBM Electric Vehicles is the lead enterprise of the JBM Group from India, which boasts a valuation of US$ 2.6 billion. SK Arya, the Group’s Chairman, and Nishant Arya, its Vice Chairman, unveiled the buses. Currently, the company has orders for 5,000 electric buses, which are being deployed or are in the process of execution across various global locations for diverse uses. With an annual production capacity exceeding 20,000 buses, JBM Electric Vehicles has established one of Haryana, India’s largest exclusive electric bus production units. They are optimistic about meeting the escalating demand.
In the past half-decade, JBM has recorded over 100 million e-kms and served more than 1 billion passengers. Their goal for the next 3-4 years is to achieve over 1 billion e-kms and serve more than 10 billion passengers.
During the launch of JBM Ecolife and JBM Galaxy at Bus World 2023 in Brussels, Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman and MD of JBM Group, stated their mission revolves around setting new sustainable standards to decarbonize both city and inter-city travel. He expressed his pride in their accomplishments, emphasizing the new product launches as a testament to their commitment to Europe. Both Ecolife and Galaxy, he mentioned, are crafted to ensure safety and efficient operation, offering customers great value.
Nishant Arya also highlighted their plans for market expansion, emphasizing their continued investment in the growing Indian market. The company recognizes different regions’ unique public transportation needs and customizes solutions accordingly.

Regarding their high-tech electric buses, the JBM Ecolife and Galaxy models are fitted with their unique Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
