Eyeing to advance Taiwan’s AI leadership, tech giants like Infinitix, Supermicro and others have joined hands to launch the Asia Artificial Intelligence Computing Centre, featuring 256 GPU servers and powered by Nvidia’s chips.
Taiwan-based AI tech company Infinitix recently revealed its role in launching the Asia Artificial Intelligence Computing Center (AICC), an AI hub in the region. Established by ENLight in partnership with Supermicro, Infinitix, Chief Telecom, VMFIVE, and Besta, the centre will utilise Nvidia’s H200 accelerated computing chip to boost Taiwan’s position in the global AI technology landscape.
The AICC will feature 256 GPU servers with H200 chips. The company has claimed that the centre is positioned to become Asia’s premier AI supercomputing hub. Operations are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year with 64 servers, which will be situated in Chief Telecom’s Internet Data Center in Taipei.
