Empowering enterprises across sectors, ideaForge launches India’s first app-based Flyght Franchise, revolutionising drone-as-a-service for security and monitoring.
On Tuesday, domestic drone manufacturer ideaForge introduced the Flyght Franchise, an app-based drone-as-a-service (DaaS) model, claiming to be the first of its kind in India. This service is designed for large enterprises and organisations seeking on-demand unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) asset monitoring and security solutions.
According to ideaForge, this has already been implemented in several states, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Odisha, and West Bengal. Furthermore, their Q6 V2 small category UAV will be provided under the franchise. These drones are mainly used for surveying and mapping.
As per the Flyght portal, initial investments for the franchise range from three million to five million rupees, with a franchise fee of one million rupees and a payback period of 20 to 24 months. The company claims a return on investment of about 20%.
Moreover, the franchise model offers service rights in designated areas, operational support, marketing assistance, and a scalable business framework.
ideaForge believes that the DaaS model can benefit public safety, infrastructure, and government services, with applications in traffic management, security, urban planning, emergency response, and inventory oversight.
Commenting on the matter, Ezhilan Nanmaran, the Head of Product and Strategic Partnerships at ideaForge, stated that the Flyght Franchise model is designed to empower both individuals and organisations by offering access to advanced drone technology equipped with AI capabilities, backed by the company’s extensive resources.
He noted that this initiative represents a significant advancement in integrating drone technology for enhanced security, monitoring, and asset inspection across multiple sectors.
