- This MoC would establish a framework for digitisation and electronic manufacturing cooperation and partnerships between India and Saudi Arabia
Recently, a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) has been signed by India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The MoC has an agenda to strengthen digitisation, electronics manufacturing, e-governance, smart infrastructure, e-health and e-education, promote partnerships in research in digital innovation and the use of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), robots, cloud computing and blockchain.
This MoC would establish a framework for digitisation and electronic manufacturing cooperation and establish partnerships between India and Saudi Arabia.
The Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) aims to foster innovative training and development in digitisation and electronics manufacturing through e-Teaching, e-learning, and exchange programs. It seeks to create joint training initiatives for building capacity and accessing highly skilled ICT professionals.
Additionally, the MoC aims to bolster the SME and startup ecosystem by sharing information on business accelerators, venture capital, and technology startup incubators, indirectly generating employment opportunities for both parties. These collaborative efforts align with the objectives of Atmanirbhar Bharat, emphasising cooperation in the critical domains of digitisation and electronics manufacturing.
