According to a survey carried out by Ma Foi Randstad, more than one million new jobs will be created in India’s organised sector in 2011, led by the healthcare vertical. The manufacture of non-machinery products, along with some other sectors, is expected to create 223,400 new jobs. However, there will be no attractive pay hikes for those currently employed, as well as for freshers, as the wage bill hike across sectors for 2011 is pegged between 8.82 per cent and 12 per cent. The approximately 1.6 million new jobs to be created in 2011 will ride on the back of capacity expansion by companies.
