Inaugurating the LED EXPO 2012, on National Energy Conservation Day, Shri Haroon Yusuf, Minister of Power, Govt. of NCT, Delhi said “The enhanced adoption of Light Emitting Diodes(LEDs) would help in bridging the demand supply gap for electricity. Our Govt would extend more support to make this energy efficient Lighting technology more cost effective for widespread adoption amongst masses”

The scale of ‘LED Expo 2012’, the 7th edition of this iconic show, increased considerably from previous years covering a total area of 1,20,000 sq ft, tallying a total of 400 booths with 250 Exhibitors this time. The mega event which attracts record-breaking footfall of visitors every year attracted more than 20,000 visitors from all over India and across the world including a delegation from Japan this year, as industry efforts increased in creating awareness on LEDs technological benefits and the evident surge of LED applications in the mainstream.
The Expo attracted vast participation from well-known and competitive companies both from within the country and overseas with international participation from Germany, Italy, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, China, USA, Korea and Hong Kong. A good number of domestic companies exhibited from all across the country.
