Electronic Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) is planing to train more industry oriented professionals in a bid to make the country self reliant in the electronics sector .

According to officials, India is importing nearly 65 per cent of electronic goods, which is next to oil and this trend will be reversed once more product development oriented jobs are created, which would make the country a net exporter after 2020.
The focus will be on semi-conductor technology, where student will be trained in chosen skills of the electronics.
The electronic fields almost occupied all kinds of occupation and needed more qualified personnel to meet the market requirements.
