Igus is ramping up its distribution network in India with new logistics and assembly facilities, targeting the semiconductor and renewable energy sectors to enhance operational efficiency.
On Wednesday, Igus announced plans to invest Rs 1 billion to establish a new 8,559 sq m manufacturing facility in Mandur, near Budigere, Bengaluru.
The company will invest Rs 200 million in factory setup, Rs 400 million in advanced injection moulding machines, and Rs 200 million in the manufacturing process.
The new facility will be equipped with cutting-edge technology to strengthen its presence in key sectors, including semiconductors and renewable energy. This aligns to the broader strategy to enhance its operational capabilities and catering to the demands of its Indian customer base.
Igus India’s expansion plans include the establishment of logistics and assembly centres in Pune, Gurugram, and Noida, further enhancing its distribution network across the country.
Additionally, the company is investing in clean room testing facilities, both in Germany and in India, to support its commitment to product quality and innovation.
