Armed with enhanced drones and proprietary software, the company will provide real-time insights, revolutionizing project tracking, and enhancing safety measures.
IG Drones has been awarded a contract to survey the Uttarakhand Metro Rail Project’s Personalized Rapid Transit (PRT) corridor, a crucial component of India’s inaugural Neo Metro System. This groundbreaking Neo Metro Project aims to revolutionize urban transit in the cities of Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh, with an anticipated completion date in 2024. The PRT Corridor, developed under the Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS), will seamlessly connect the cities of Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Dehradun, providing world-class and state-of-the-art commuting options to the region’s residents. IG Drones has been entrusted with the task of preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) by employing advanced drone technology to survey the project.
The company has a fleet of domestically developed drones equipped with cutting-edge sensors capable of capturing high-resolution images, videos, and valuable data from the project site. The collected data is meticulously processed using IG One, the company’s proprietary software, which offers comprehensive technical insights and analytics. These analytical tools enable real-time tracking of the project’s progress, enhancing efficiency and safety. Drones have become indispensable in modern infrastructure projects due to their efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness. They reduce reliance on manual labor and lead to significant time and cost savings. Their applications extend to monitoring construction progress, assessing work quality, and identifying potential issues during the construction phase.
Expressing his enthusiasm for securing this prestigious contract, Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, Founder and CEO of IG Drones, stated, “Surveying a metro rail project in such challenging terrain is a formidable task, but we have the latest drone technology and software to monitor such projects meticulously. Leveraging sophisticated drone technology, our company will provide comprehensive technical insights and analytics to government officials and regulatory bodies, facilitating real-time project tracking and enhancing safety and security measures.”
It is worth noting that the company is a pioneer in the field of drone technology and analytics, having introduced India’s first 5G-enabled drone earlier this year. In January, Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Minister for Railways, Communications, and Electronics & Information Technology, unveiled Skyhawk, the company’s revolutionary 5G-enabled drone. Equipped with advanced sensors and artificial intelligence capabilities, Skyhawk finds applications in various sectors, including border surveillance, medical, and defense.
With its drone technology and unwavering commitment to innovation, the company is poised to play a pivotal role in advancing India’s infrastructure development. The company had previously secured a contract for surveying the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project earlier this year, further solidifying its reputation as a key player in the drone industry.
