Hero Electronix has announced that it has acquired chip design services provider Test & Verification Solutions (T&VS). It has made the acquisition through Tessolve which is a Hero Electronix venture and engineering solutions company.
T&VS is the fifth acquisition by Tessolve in the last fourth years. The strategic acquisitions of Tessolve have made it possible for it to offer a spectrum of services to semiconductor companies. This acquisition will add a strong team and capability depth in a critical area like chip design. It will also expand the company’s presence in the UK and Japan markets.
Design verification and design for test
P Raja Manickam, CEO, Tessolve said that the addition of T&VS talent and technologies will enable the company to provide more integrated and optimised chip design solutions. He added that design verification and validation is an important phase in the design and production cycle of every semiconductor product.
T&VS has expertise in design verification (DV) and has expanded its offerings into design for test (DFT) and embedded software over the years. It has over 400 engineers working across UK, India, Japan, US and Singapore.
Nikhil Rajpal, CEO, Hero Electronix said that it is the largest acquisition by Tessolve till date. It will be and a critical addition in building Tessolve into the largest semiconductor engineering services player in the world.
