Haryana Government has notified the Haryana Information Technology (Electronic Service Delivery) Rules, 2018 for the delivery of public services electronically.
Under these rules, the State Government on its own or through an agency authorised by it, deliver public services through electronically enabled kiosks or any other electronic service delivery mechanism, said a spokesman of the Electronics and Information Technology Department to The Daily Pioneer.
He said that the Government will notify the services that will be delivered electronically from time to time. Public service rendered by following the procedure specified under these rules will be receipt of forms and applications, delivery of any license, permit, certificate, sanction or approval and the receipt or payment of money or any other such services.
Secretary to Government, the Head of every department of the Government and the heads of the Government Organizations and Government Bodies and such other authority notified as Competent Authorities will notify within a period of 180 days the public services of the department, agency or body which may be delivered through electronic mode, said the spokesman.
He further informed that they will also notify the date by which each such service will be made available through electronic mode lay down norms for efficiency, quality and accuracy in the form of service levels; and designate officers for delivery of each such service through electronic mode.
He added that the Director of Electronic Service Delivery will determine service charges by the authorized service provider and authorized agents for providing e-services, guide the concerned department or competent authority determining the service charges to be collected by the authorised service provider regarding fee, taxes, charges, dues, etc so that the uniformity is maintained across all departments.
