Grinntech Motors, engaged in manufacturing Lithium-Ion batteries for electric vehicles, commenced its facility in Chennai as per the company. The company in October 2020 had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Tamil Nadu entailing investments of Rs 100 crore.
Grinntech co-founder Puneet Jain said that the company’s state-of-the-art plant is a modern facility that will leverage the infrastructural and supply chain advantages of our strategic location. He said that the company has installed an optimal level of automation and deployed contemporary quality control principles keeping in mind the quality expectations of customers.

The new site equipped with state-of-the-art features would also manufacture Grinntech’s Battery Management Systems to address the demand for electric vehicles. According to company co-founder Nikhilesh Mishra, the facility would house a modern research and development centre.
