GreenH’s 1 MW electrolyzer is expected to produce about 420 kg/day of hydrogen continuously.
GreenH Electrolysis, a joint effort between H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies and GR Promoter Group, has confirmed its collaboration with Medha Servo Drives Pvt. Ltd. to build a hydrogen production and refueling station in Jind, Haryana. The facility aims to supply hydrogen for India’s first hydrogen train, part of Indian Railways’ ‘Hydrogen for Heritage’ program.
Medha Servo Drives Pvt. Ltd. has been awarded a contract by Indian Railways to convert the Diesel Electric Multiple Unit rake on the Sonipat-Jind route into a hydrogen-powered locomotive. GreenH will oversee the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of the hydrogen station for this initiative. The station will source equipment from GreenH’s PEM electrolyzer manufacturing plant in Jhajjar District, Haryana, and is planned to produce hydrogen and refuel trains.
Initially, a 1 MW electrolyzer from GreenH is expected to produce about 420 kg/day of hydrogen continuously. The refueling infrastructure will include hydrogen storage, compressors, and two dispensers for swift refueling. The project involves multiple technical disciplines and includes a Long-term Service Agreement for operation and maintenance support.
Indian Railways’ plan includes operating thirty-five hydrogen trains as part of the ‘Hydrogen for Heritage’ program. The inaugural hydrogen-powered train will run between Jind and Sonipat, signaling India’s investment in advanced transport technologies.
GreenH is a technology enterprise focused on advocating, developing, financing, designing, integrating, constructing, operating, and maintaining hydrogen production systems derived from water electrolysis. The company offers comprehensive solutions encompassing the entire spectrum of green hydrogen usage, including its generation, compression, storage, commercialization, refueling stations, and various other applications.
