The solar powered smart cow-shed will contribute to the spirit of the government of Bharat’s ‘Atma-Nirbhar Bharat’ vision.
China’s GoodWe, a company dealing in solar inverters and energy solutions, has announced a 500kWp solar project in India. The project introduces the nation’s first smart cow-shed, ensuring energy independence in the dairy sector.
The project is commissioned in collaboration with Sunprime Energy Solutions, an EPC (energy, procurement and construction) company in New Delhi. It is powered by GoodWe’s GW100K-HT Inverters. The device generates over 60MWh of clean energy to the grid every month. The solar project has diminished carbon impact equivalent to planting 14000 trees.
The shed has five GW100K-HT inverters equipped with features designed to enhance energy savings and productivity in solar installations They are rugged and resilient to harsh environment conditions. The IP66 and C5 protection ensures reliability and safety of the photovoltaic system.
The smart shed provides shelter and better provision of food for 5000 cows. It is situated at Dabar Hare Krishna Gowshala located in Najafgarh, New Delhi. The owner said, “We have been using the plant for the past year, and the results have been impressive. Such solar power projects pave the way for its extension nationwide, which should be installed in every cow shelter.”
GoodWe is a photovoltaic (PV) inverter manufacturer and smart energy solution provider listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange. The company has more than 5,000 employees worldwide and has a track record of over 52 GW of installations in over 100 countries and regions.
