Thursday, August 29, 2013: Another product newly added to the already existing popular range of energy efficient LED lighting products is GL-FL180, a 175W AC-input LED Flood Light along with Philips Lumileds LED chips by the firm GlacialLight.
It is a division of the Taiwanese technology, GlacialTech Incorporation. Manufactured for unfavourable environment, the product comprises aluminum die-cast alloy housing, high-strength glass, stainless steel skidproof screws and phase-change metal (PCM) thermal interface material (TIM). These features are perfect for high temperature, corrosive, or high vibration environments such as beaches, general factory sites or chemical factories.
The best part about Phase-change metal TIM is that it offers extreme thermal conductivity apart from the lowest thermal resistance. This PCM TIM is placed between the LED panel and the heat sinks, thus offering long-lasting, high-performance thermal conduction. This helps the GL-FL180 remain cool and function efficiently.
Moreover, GL-FL180 converts electricity to light in the most efficient manner. In comparison to the similar mercury flood lights, the LED flood light’s power consumption is considerably less for equal output. It is more eco-friendly than traditional lighting as it contains no hazardous chemicals such as mercury. In addition, there is no harmful radiation emissions like UV or IR.
