An MoU was signed on the 11th of August between the Government of Uttar Pradesh and Servotech Power Systems Limited to establish an EV Charger manufacturing plant in the state under the Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022.
The MoU was signed by Raman Bhatia, Managing Director, Servotech Power Systems Ltd., and Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, Hon’ble Minister of Industrial Development, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of Shri Daya Shankar Singh, Transport Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh, IAS Abhishek Prakash, CEO, Invest UP, IAS Prathamesh Kumar, Spl. Secretary to Chief Minister and Addl. CEO, Invest UP and other dignitaries.
Servotech is set to invest around 1o Million Rupees while creating job opportunities for more than 500 individuals. They plan to be partially operational by the first quarter of 2025 and aim to produce 10 thousand EV DC fast chargers every year for domestic as well as export markets.
An EV Roundtable Conference: Exploring Opportunities to Achieve UP’s Electric Mobility Vision has been organised at Lucknow to discuss the possibility of collaboration to expand EV manufacturing in the state and take steps to eradicate the challenges faced during the establishment of such infrastructures while catering for a mutually beneficial partnership.
