- The codes will be placed in at least two accessible places
- By scanning the QR code, the users will get access to the latest version of the operating manual says Eutect GmbH
Germany- based manufacturer of soldering machines Eutect GmbH will equip all machines and modules with Quick Response (QR) codes from autumn of this year that will allowing direct online access to the user manuals. The company says this will optimise the distribution of updated manuals to customers.
The company adds that codes will be placed in at least two accessible places. The code will contain the operating instructions for machines and modules.
Matthias Fehrenbach, CEO of Eutect GmbH says, “Many of our customers are globally operating companies and sometimes relocate entire production lines. At the new location the manuals are often not to be found and the customers had to ask us to provide them again. Often this was noticed during operation when the machine’s processes were unclear. Here, our customers lost time, for example, when the machine was in a different time zone.”
New modules will lead to documentation update
Each machine from the company has its own documents. By scanning the QR code, operators, service personnel and supervisors will be able to access the latest version of the operating manual claims Eutect GmbH. If new modules are installed or software solutions are updated, the documentation will also be updated.
This process will be done at the company’s headquarters in Dusslingen in Germany. The updated data will be then imported into the customer account and the operator will be able to access the operating instructions anytime, anywhere in the world says the company.
