Esri India established an innovation hub in Noida which brings together various GIS capabilities with innovative solutions for smart cities, disaster management, state GIS, utilities, homeland security, location intelligence and analytics amongst others.
According to a recent report by BW Disrupt, the innovation hub is aiming to bring in synergies among research, development and advanced technologies such as sensor monitoring, and emerging technologies like Big Data, and IoT. The hub is also anabling Esri India to work closely with its customers and understand their requirements to develop and deliver effective solutions for their businesses.
Commenting on the announcement, Agendra Kumar, president of Esri India said that the newly developed innovation Hub will act as a catalyst for building smart communities by enabling the company’s clients to tap into the potential of GIS effectively.
The hub is equipped to provide an infrastructure of open data gateway along with Esri Managed Cloud Services (EMCS) division for its customers to access and use the localized content. It also works with more than 50 startups and partners, providing technical mentorship to them.
